The Church of the Reconciliation in Webster, Massachusetts

Beginning Sunday, February 21^st, and continuing each Sunday during Lent, we are pleased to offer a Christian formation program for adults entitled, “Jesus and the Gospels.”

The program is comprised of several thirty minute video presentations by Professor Luke Timothy Johnson of Emory University.  Dr. Johnson is a former Benedictine monk, and a well known author, lecturer and professor of theology.

While Pastor Janice spends time with the young people in our Youth Group, parishioner Bill Dennehy has graciously agreed to facilitate our Lenten program this year.  Most of us know Bill to be well read in Scripture and theology, and he received training as a catechist several years ago.  Bill has reviewed the videos in advance, and will be presenting them, as well as facilitating the discussions following each one.

As we have done in the past, our program will run from noon to 1:30 p.m., with lunch included.  There will be sign-up sheets in the back of the church each week so that we know how many people to expect.

This video series is excellent, and Dr. Johnson is an engaging and animated speaker.  We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Jesus and the Gospels.
