Tiffany Poplawski, Bill Jones and Shelley Christensen did an amazing job cleaning, painting and setting up the nursery for our youngest members.  It is now a bright, sunny and inviting place for parents to leave their little ones.  Take a peek:

Most importantly, our nursery moms have all taken the Diocesan “Safe Church” training, making sure that our nursery is a safe place for parents to leave their little ones.  You can read the Diocese’s safe church policies here.

The nursery is staffed during our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service.  Contact the office for more details.

Betty Blodgett has set up a collection site in the lower hall for new or gently used clothing for her Lakota friends on the Pine Ridge Reservation in North Dakota. She reminds us that it is very cold there in the winter, and many can’t afford to heat their homes, so warm and cozy clothes are much appreciated.

Betty is still collecting “Box Tops for Education” to aid schools on the reservation. There is an informational poster about this program on the bulletin board on the lower level of the hall. For information about which products have these box tops, visit the official site:boxtops4education.com

Sometimes I like to poke around the Library of Congress website. They have a great image library with digitized images from all over the place. I was searching for pictures from Webster when I came across this: Design drawing for stained glass Chancel window showing Christ’s ministries for Church of the Reconciliation in Webster, Massachusetts. It’s the very same window shown here, and it’s fascinating to see how it changed from concept to reality. I love the internet!

As you probably know, Father Dallas is in the process of making visits to our parishioners to talk about healing past hurts and forming a new direction for the future. He usually brings a Vestry member along with him. Today I had the priviledge of making my first visits with him, and it was an inspiring experience. I think all of us will be enriched by this process and will become much stonger as a congregation. I’m looking forward to doing more! (Besides, it’s entertaining to watch Father’s GPS system try to make sense of Webster’s sometimes mysterious roadways!)
