On Thursday evening, May 5th, 102 individuals gathered at Point Breeze Restaurant in Webster at the kickoff fundraiser dinner for Reconciliation House, Inc., a sober living community for men. State Representative Joe McKenna, Sheriff Lew Evangelidis, Judge Timothy Bibaud, Maryanne Frangules of MOAR, and Peter Kosciusko, Director of Substance Abuse services at the Worcester County House of Correction, and Mark Roger, Executive Director of RHI were all speakers at the event, which I was honored to emcee. The highlight of the evening was hearing two young men in recovery speak about their journeys. What courage! We raised over $7,000 just at the dinner alone, and donations are still coming in. We have also received in excess of $13,000 in other donations--personal and corporate. Last week RHI was awarded $14,300 in a grant from the Janet Malser Humanities Trust. Please join me in thanking God for this amazing night, and for the manner in which God is blessing this ministry. The Rev. Janice Ford
